The Swimsquare Aquatic Center is seeking a highly experienced and motivated individual to join our team as the Program Director. As the Program Director, you will be responsible for overseeing and leading our swimming academy's high-performance program. You will play a critical role in developing and implementing training strategies, identifying and nurturing talent, and driving the overall success of our high-performance swimmers.

Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement a comprehensive high-performance program that aligns with the academy's vision, goals, and objectives.

  • Design and execute training plans and programs for high-performance swimmers, focusing on technique refinement, physical conditioning, and mental preparation.

  • Identify talented swimmers and create a talent identification and development framework to ensure the continuous growth and success of the program.

  • Provide leadership and guidance to coaches, assisting them in developing and implementing individualized training plans for swimmers.

  • Conduct regular evaluations and assessments to monitor the progress and performance of swimmers, making necessary adjustments to training programs as needed.

  • Collaborate with sports science professionals, such as physiotherapists, nutritionists, and psychologists, to optimize the performance and well-being of high-performance swimmers.

  • Foster a positive and supportive team culture, promoting sportsmanship, discipline, and excellence among swimmers and coaches.

  • Stay updated on the latest trends, techniques, and advancements in high-performance swimming, integrating relevant practices into the program.

  • Establish and maintain relationships with relevant swimming organizations, clubs, and stakeholders to enhance collaboration and opportunities for swimmers.

  • Represent the swimming academy at competitions, conferences, and other events to showcase the achievements and reputation of the high-performance program.

Qualifications:

  • Extensive experience in coaching and managing high-performance swimming programs, preferably at a national or international level.

  • Proven track record of developing swimmers to achieve outstanding results in competitive swimming.

  • In-depth knowledge of the principles and practices of swimming training, technique analysis, and performance enhancement.

  • Strong leadership and communication skills, with the ability to inspire and motivate swimmers, coaches, and support staff.

  • Excellent organizational and problem-solving abilities, with a proactive and results-driven mindset.

  • Qualifications and certifications in swimming coaching and relevant sports science disciplines are highly desirable.

  • Knowledge of sports governance, regulations, and compliance in relation to high-performance swimming.

Position Overview: The Head Coach for Age Group and Developmental Swimming is responsible for overseeing and leading the swimming program for young athletes at various age levels. The Head Coach will work closely with athletes, assistant coaches, and parents to create a positive and supportive team environment that fosters individual growth and team success.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Training Program Development

4. Athlete Development

  • Work with parents to set realistic goals and expectations for their child's swimming journey.

5. Team Management

  • Create a positive team culture that encourages sportsmanship, camaraderie, and personal growth.

  • Communicate effectively with swimmers, assistant coaches, and parents regarding training schedules, competition details, and performance feedback.

  • Collaborate with the swim club administration on matters related to team registration, budgeting, and equipment needs.

Qualifications and Requirements

  • Previous coaching experience in competitive swimming, preferably with age group and developmental swimmers.

  • Strong knowledge of swimming techniques, training methods, and competitive strategies.

  • Recognized coaching certifications and credentials (e.g., NIS, ASCA Level 3 or higher).

  • Excellent communication and leadership skills to effectively motivate and inspire young swimmers.

  • Ability to develop and maintain positive relationships with athletes, assistant coaches, parents, and club administration.

Head Coach - Age Group and Developmental Swimming

Position Overview: The Assistant Swimming Coach plays a vital role in supporting the Head Coach in the development and implementation of training programs for swimmers. The Assistant Coach works closely with swimmers, parents, and the coaching staff to contribute to the overall success of the swimming program.

Key Responsibilities:

Coaching Support

  • Provide individualized feedback and instruction to swimmers during practice sessions to enhance their performance.

Qualifications and Requirements:

  • 0-2 years of experience in competitive swimming as a coach with experience as an athlete

  • Graduation in Science/Sports Bio Mechanics/Physical Education with NIS or Equivalent

  • Solid understanding of swimming techniques, training principles, and competitive strategies.

  • Strong communication skills to effectively interact with swimmers, parents, and coaching staff.

  • Enthusiasm for working with young athletes, motivating them, and fostering their personal and athletic development.

Assitant Swim Coach

Position Overview: The Junior Sports Scientist at the Swimming Academy is responsible for assisting in the implementation of sports science programs to optimize the performance and well-being of swimmers. This position involves conducting assessments, collecting and analyzing data, and providing support in the areas of nutrition, conditioning, and recovery. The Junior Sports Scientist works closely with the coaching staff and athletes to enhance training methods and improve overall athletic performance.

Key Responsibilities:

Sports Science Support:

  • Assist in the design and implementation of sports science programs tailored to the specific needs of swimmers, focusing on areas such as nutrition, strength and conditioning, injury prevention, and recovery.

  • Conduct physiological and biomechanical assessments to evaluate swimmers' performance, identify strengths and weaknesses, and guide training interventions.

  • Collect and analyze data from training sessions, competitions, and physiological testing to provide insights and recommendations for performance enhancement.

Nutrition Guidance:

  • Collaborate with swimmers and coaching staff to develop individualized nutrition plans that support optimal performance and recovery.

  • Educate swimmers about proper hydration, nutrient timing, and dietary choices to optimize energy levels, body composition, and overall health.

  • Monitor and track swimmers' dietary habits and provide guidance on nutritional supplements when necessary.

Conditioning and Recovery:

  • Assist in the development and implementation of strength and conditioning programs to enhance swimmers' physical attributes, including strength, power, flexibility, and endurance.

Junior Sports Scientist

Position Overview: The Lifeguard and Swim Teacher plays a crucial role in ensuring the safety of swimmers and providing swim instruction to individuals of all ages and skill levels. This position involves supervising swimmers, maintaining a safe swimming environment, and delivering swim lessons. The Lifeguard and Swim Teacher must possess strong lifeguarding skills, excellent communication abilities, and the capability to teach swimming techniques effectively.

Key Responsibilities:

Lifeguarding Duties:

  • Monitor swimmers to ensure their safety and enforce pool rules and regulations.

  • Maintain constant surveillance of the pool area and respond quickly and appropriately in case of emergencies or accidents.

  • Perform water rescues and administer first aid or CPR when necessary.

  • Regularly inspect and maintain equipment, including rescue tubes, first aid kits, and safety equipment.

Swim Instruction:

  • Plan and deliver swim lessons to individuals or groups based on their age and skill level.

  • Teach swimming techniques, including, breathing techniques, and water safety skills.

Customer Service:

Pool Maintenance and Safety:
